Over the years, our team members have helped organize accessible, meaningful group volunteering opportunities in our office and on-site at organizations.
We’ve had great experiences bonding through service, including a Gifford Park neighborhood clean-up supported by Keep Omaha Beautiful, assembling diaper kits with Nebraska Diaper Bank, assembling menstrual supply kits with Access Period, cleaning up garden beds at Healing Roots African Diaspora Garden and packing cleaning supply kits for refugee families at Restoring Dignity.
The Omaha metro is full of impactful nonprofits that regularly need volunteer support. According to the United Way of the Midlands, one volunteer hour has a nearly $30 value in Nebraska — and for smaller organizations with limited staff capacity, this value is even more significant.
Each member of our Emspace team receives eight hours of annual PTO to engage with our community during office hours, whether it’s attending an educational event or giving back through volunteering. With SHARE Omaha’s Do Good Days coming up April 22-25 during National Volunteer Week, we wanted to share some volunteering opportunities that individuals and groups can sign up for today.
