Sarah Baker Hansen has more than two decades of experience as a journalist, public relations professional and author. For eight years, she worked as the food critic at Omaha’s major metro newspaper, and has a diverse public relations background, working with a variety of clients, including tourism, visual arts and restaurants.
She joined the Emspace + Lovgren team in 2021 and found coworkers that share two of her passions: An eye for excellent storytelling and a goal of helping make Omaha a better place to live.
Food remains one of Sarah’s passions, and she now writes about the Omaha food scene at her own blog, sarahbakerhansen.com. She authored two books: “The Better Half: Nebraska’s Hidden Treasures,” co-authored with her husband Matthew Hansen; and “The Insider’s Guide to Omaha and Lincoln,” part of an internationally focused series of travel guides. Born and raised in Omaha, Sarah graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in News Editorial Journalism.
In her free time she loves eating, cooking, reading, travel and fashion.
