City of Council Bluffs
Loessfest, conceived as a tactic to build energy for Council Bluffs and Tom Hanafan River’s Edge park on our shared riverfront, launched during the grand opening of Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park in 2013. In 2015, Loessfest grew by partnering with two well-known Omaha festivals – Taste of Omaha and Maha Music Festival –Loessfest 2015 demonstrated that the riverfront is a regional asset, and festivals can span on both sides. Earned media generated nearly $1 million in publicity value and more than 40,000 attended the eight-day event.
