Emspace + Lovgren

It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of our seventh year of Forge.

Much like the 57 alumni who precede them, Emspace + Lovgren knows our 2019 class of Forgers is destined for success with their early passion and drive for the world of communications. Say hello to our 11 students who are ready to hit the ground running!

Jazmyn Brown

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN, PUBLIC RELATIONS/ADVERTISING
  • What has been your biggest takeaway from Forge so far? The different components (learn, think, do) are important. Learn is probably the most important in getting ROI.

  • What’s something you recommend everyone try at least once? Get an internship outside of your comfort zone. Make connections. Build a network.

  • Secret talent? I’m good at darts and playing two truths and a lie.

Megan Engel

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN, PUBLIC RELATIONS/ADVERTISING
  • What has been your biggest takeaway from Forge so far? Creative session: learned that letting the client have a seat at the table helps make sure you are on track and don’t waste time by creating something that won’t work. Also, it’s best to remove yourself for a moment (take a walk, etc.) and then go back to get your creativity back.

  • What’s something you recommend everyone try at least once? Travel to a country whose native language isn’t your own; immerse yourself in that culture.

  • Secret talent? Losing socks. My feet never match.

Taylor Hays

  • What has been your biggest takeaway from Forge so far? My biggest takeaway from Forge is that you can always learn from those around you, whether it’s someone who is more experienced, on the same level, or less experienced.

  • What’s something you recommend everyone try at least once? I would recommend everyone tries something they would refuse to do with no good reason why if not just to gain the experience or find out why you won’t do it again.

  • Secret talent? I can play the French horn, trumpet and piano.

  • What’s something you recommend everyone try at least once? Cronuts at Olsen Bakery off of 10th St. — only sold on Friday mornings. You’re welcome. 😉
